Cacao Ceremony and Sound Meditation

Session Overview

Step into a space of deep presence, connection and inner stillness.

This 2-hour cacao ceremony and sound meditation is an invitation to slow down, to let go of the tension and allow yourself to deeply rest, open your heart and meet yourself and reconnect on a deeper level.

We begin by sharing ceremonial cacao - an ancient plant medicine known for its gentle, yet a very powerful ally, one that softens the heart, awakens clarity, deepens the connection with ourselves, those around us and Pachamama - a ceremony steeped in Andean tradition, where we open the 4 directions, calling in the guardians and allies that live there to guide and support us.

From this grounded space, you’ll be guided into a restorative sound meditation. Using soothing instruments and vibrational frequencies, the session supports the release of tension, helps you quiet the mind from racing and overthinking, and create space to return to balance and harmony.

The sound waves actually affect our ears and our bodies physically as sound waves affect the vagus nerve, which has a branch near the ear. The vagus nerve is the main nerve affecting rest and restore responses in our bodies and activating it is really helpful for us to be able to retrain our bodies to be in a calmer and more balanced state.

Sound is somatic, not just auditory, so when we listen to the sound of the instruments in a sound session, we are able to activate the Parasymptathetic Nervous System, where we can slow down, deeply relax, and rest. When we listen without any anticipation of what’s coming next or judgment, and we just observe, we are truly present in the moment.
